ST Properties is owned and managed by Susie and Joe, who bring a wealth of experience and a hands-on approach to the business. Together, they oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They also work closely with a network of skilled and trusted tradespeople, whom they coordinate and manage for larger projects when required. This collaborative approach allows ST Properties to maintain high standards across all properties and ensures that tenants and landlords receive the best possible service.
I’m Susie, one of the Company Directors. I set up ST Properties, with my husband and fellow director, over 20 years ago. Initially we were property landlords of a small number of properties, which I did alongside working in a few different careers.
My early career was spent working for various Housing Associations in Staffordshire and Cheshire. This, alongside being a property landlord, was my earliest exposure to the property rental sector. It gave me a valuable insight and understanding to the legalities and regulations of the rental sector as well as hands on experience of managing tenancies, collecting rents, dealing with property maintenance issues, and supporting tenants to maintain their tenancies. Working across both Staffordshire and Cheshire gave me great local knowledge of the housing market in those areas, which I have continued to monitor and keep abreast of.
From housing I moved across to the Health Sector, in the field of mental health. In this role I worked alongside a range of people including service users, family members, medical staff and chief executives of the NHS. This ability to work with such a variety of people, ensuring effective communication at all times, is a skill I have brought with me into ST Properties.
Next on the list was teaching. I am a qualified teacher and SENCO, with a Bachelor’s Degree as well as a Master’s Degree, and spent a number of years teaching across Stoke-on-Trent, getting to know the local areas very well. As a teacher I was required to keep up to date with teaching regulations and legislation, through regular training and qualifications. I love learning, and currently use this thirst for learning to keep fully up to date with all things property related.
I continued to grow and develop ST Properties while doing the above roles, until ST Properties became a full-time role in itself. Since then, I have enjoyed dedicating 100% of my working life to the business. The property journey has been an exciting one, and one that I continue to be passionate about.

I'm Joe, one of the Company Directors and co founder of ST Properties.
I have a long history in business and have been fully self-employed for over 20 years. I’ve personally set up and grown businesses from a single person operation to employing 70+ staff, and have extensive skills in people management, finance management, budget setting and profit analysis.
When it comes to property, I can quickly see the full potential and know how to best plan the journey from buying, through the renovation process, to tenanting, and managing tenants on an ongoing basis.
Working in the property market is my passion: I’m happiest when doing property renovations and maintenance work, and when helping landlords to maximise their full profit potential. Property lettings and property management is where I’ve decided to settle from a career point of view.
In ST Properties, I tend to be the guy on the ground and very much customer facing - I tend to leave the academic work to Susie. I pride myself in taking a hands-on role with landlords, tenants, and tradespeople. I’m rarely not available which allows people to reach out at a time to suit them, knowing that they will get a timely response. Being responsive is something I take great pride in.
I have personally project managed a large number of property renovations, from 2 bed terraces to 5 bed detached properties, managing budgets, materials, tradespeople, deadlines, and building reg compliance.
I originally trained as an electrician for domestic properties, but have skills and experience in most other trades.
As well as being the on-site guy, I’m just as happy in a finance meeting with clients, accountants and solicitors, with many years in board room roles looking at Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
I am committed to ensuring a hassle-free journey for both landlords and tenants.
